Very nice shot, the clouds on top of flatiron (white over dark sky) is awesome and adds something positive on that photograph.

Flatiron Building is one of my favorite buildings in NYC. I like the way you've shot it. Those clouds on top of it look like there's a fire. Great detail. I'm :+fav:ing this master piece. :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

No problem!
I've never really been by the building myself but I hope someday I'll see it in real life. It truly is worth of seeing. :)

please dont remove it...
try it in BW, copy the building in a 2 separate layers, then darken the sky as much as you can, then work the others 2 layers with the flatiron one for the bright, other for the contrast, and blend the opacitys as you like!

Nice angle :-)
One point of critique, though, I think the Flatiron building is just a little bit too dark, maybe if you lighten it up just a bit, you will get more detail as well.
Other than that, great job setting it apart from the surrounding buildings :-)

Thanks a lot!! Thatkind of comments are very useful for me. For 2 reasons:
- I have to get diffrents points of view to improve my skill
- My TFT screen is very bright and I never know if my pics look too dark on other screens...

So thank you very much!! :D

You're very welcome.
It's a great shot nonetheless, I used to have a similar shot in my gallery, but I think I put it in storage. That building is so wonderful and so interesting from different angles.

Flatiron Building (real name), 23rd Street. (no, not very far from Union Square, but really across the street from Madison Square Park).
This is a hard building to shoot, I think. I like how the clouds make a kind of smoke appearance at the top of the building in this photo.

Thank you!! :) Yeah I had to take several pictures before to get this one! It's a very unique building, I think I felt in love in fact...hehehe But I'm afraid it'a bit expensive for me :(

Thanks for your comment! ;)
